About COM Express Type 7
Headless for sever-level edge applications, in the latest COM.0 Revision 3.1, Type 7 adds support for PCIe Gen4 with a second PCIe Clock for lane 16-31. Additionally, its fundamental 4x 10GbE has been updated to support CEI side-band signaling, in-lining with current and future technology trends.
Since LAN PHY is located on the carrier board, end users can choose between 10GbE Copper or Fiber solutions. Type 7 further supports up to 32 lanes of PCIe as well as NC-SI management interface. SoCs range from entry-level, 2-core x86 up to 16-core processors that are available in extended operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
