ADLINK Technology, a leading global provider of cloud-based services, intelligent gateways, and embedded building blocks for edge devices that enable the Internet of Things (IoT), today announced its new industrial panel computer, the STC-15W04, designed especially for hazardous industrial areas. The STC-15W04 is compliant with UL Class 1 Division 2, ATEX Zone 2, and IECEx hazardous locations standards, eliminating it as a cause of explosions of gases, vapors and any present liquids and making it suitable for use in suitable for use in mining, refineries, and chemical processing plants.
The STC-15W04 is a 15.6” wide screen (16:9) industrial panel computer with fanless design and highly efficient heat dissipation for reliable operation. Ruggedness is completed with IP65 front panel protection to prevent dust, water, and oil from entering the panel computer in industrial environments. Powered by an Intel® Atom™ Processor and up to 4GB of DDR3 memory, the STC-15W04 provides a user-friendly projected capacitive multi-touch screen and offers a flexible array of I/O, including two Gigabit Ethernet ports, two USB 2.0 ports, and an RS-485 port for high-speed connectivity. Onboard storage is provided by an industrial CFast card. The compact size and panel-mount design of the STC-15W04 makes it easy to install in space-restricted applications. The STC-15W04 is also rugged, reliable, and flexible, and with a great cost-performance ratio, provides a comprehensive computing solution perfectly suited to hazardous environments and applications in oil and gas industries.
