ADLINK Technology, Inc., a leading global provider of intelligent computing platforms, has announced its new Matrix MXE-1400 series of rugged quad-core fanless embedded computers. Powerful function is guaranteed by the integrated quad-core Intel® Atom™ E3845 processor, combined with the highest I/O density among compact embedded systems. Outstanding vibration/shock sustainability of 5 Grms and up to 100 G and -40°C to 70°C extended operating temperature make the MXE-1400 a thoroughly dependable choice for demanding applications. Combining superior processor performance, wireless capability, and rich I/O in a compact and robust package, the MXE-1400 is an ideal choice for a wide range of applications supporting intelligent transportation, in-vehicle multimedia, and surveillance and factory automation.
The MXE-1400 series offers easy maintenance and management for industrial applications, in a compact 2.38L/145.24 in3 (210(W) x 170(D) x 70(H)mm / 8.27(W) x 6.27(D) x 2.76(H) in) system size, with the most I/O ports in its class and single side I/O access even in narrow spaces, including DisplayPort, DVI-I (with both DVI and VGA signals), three GbE by Intel network interface controllers, six USB 2.0, one USB 3.0 with dedicated bandwidth, 8 isolated DI/O, and six COM ports, four of which are BIOS-configurable among RS-232/422 and 485 with auto flow. In addition, the MXE-1400 series provides a 2.5” hot-swappable SATA drive bay and CFast port for simple and secure data buffering or additional storage expansion. Dual mini PCIe slots and USIM socket empower the MXE- 1400 as a communications hub for a variety of wireless connections, such as BT/WiFi and 3G/LTE. The MXE-1400 series also maximizes manageability and security with ADLINK’s proprietary SEMA Cloud solution, delivering efficient real-time remote monitoring of system activity and health, for fully manageable utilization of system resources.
Leveraging proprietary mechanical engineering, the MXE-1400 series continues to offer all the popular features of the Matrix E series, including fanless and cable-free construction and rigorous testing for operational verification. The line’s recognized reliability and ruggedness are critical for complete functionality despite the rigors of demanding industrial application environments.
