Introduction
- ADLINK PCM-2855+, the isolated RS-485/422 communication module for
PC/104-plus computers, supports 4 independent ports of standard RS-485/
422 protocol bus. Each port has 16-byte FIFO for both transmission and
reception. The RS-485 transceiver on the PCM-2855+ also support
auto-direction flow control and half-duplex control, and the speed could
be selected from 50 to 115,200 bps. The isolation function provided
on ADLINK PCM-2855+ is achieved by photo-couplers with the isolation
voltage up to 2500Vrms. The isolation functionality of PCM-2855+
protects the system from occasional ESD or failure from external
equipments. With the benefits from PC/104-plus specifications,
PCM-2855+'s 33MHz 32-bit PCI bus and its compact size make it suitable
for embedded applications.
