Introduction
The aTCA-6900 features the latest Intel® 5100/ICH9R chipset, with 64-bit dual quad-core or dual-core LV-Xeon processors and DDR2-667 REG/ECC support up to 32 GB. For fabric interface connectivity, it supports dual IEEE802.3ap compliant 10GBASE-KX4 ports which are also backward compatible to 1000BASE-BX ports, compliant to PICMG® 3.1 option 9 and option 1. Two AMC.0 Mid-size, single width AdvancedMC bays support AMC.1 PCI-E®, AMC.2 Gigabit Ethernet and AMC.3 SATA/SAS storage. On-board 24-port Gigabit Ethernet Switch-on-Chip provides high speed data tunnels switching among base/fabric interface, update channels, front panel egress ports, rear transition module and AMC.2 ports. Peripherals include USB 2.0 ports, analog RGB graphics, serial console and RAID 0/1/5 SATA/SAS AMC.3 storage devices.
