The HDV62A high definition video and audio capture card enables single-card acquisition of full analog/digital video and digital audio signals. Featuring uncompressed full HD up to 1080p at 60 fps and 10-bit high-resolution ADC and HDCP support, the HDV62A delivers serious benefits and reduced TCO for applications requiring simultaneous capture from both video and audio sources, such as multimedia device testing and medical imaging.
The HDV62A not only delivers uncompressed high-definition video data from DVI or HDMI, but also provides an analog video decoder omprehensively supporting RGB, NTSC/PAL, S-video and YPbPr, with an integrated audio decoder for HDMI and S/PDIF capture, providing a highly integrated solution.
Application: Diagnostic and Media Component Testing
As HDTV becomes more popular in home entertainment systems, the demand
for full HD 1080p video content has also increase, such as for medical
imaging, and multimedia devices.
Multimedia devices such as set-top boxes, Blu-ray Disc players, and gaming
consoles can convert SD (standard definition) and HD (high definition) video
source data into digital full HD 1080p content for HDTV output. Since these
devices, however, utilize considerable electronic and signal processing
components, consistent quality in manufacturing requires, automated testing
to acquire raw pixel image for analysis and measurement to assess video
quality.
As well, medical devices such as ultrasound scanners, EKG, and laparoscopy
systems capture high-resolution video/images to aid diagnosis. The captured
images/videos are then transferred to a computer for archiving, as well as
being analyzed in great detail, at resolutions as high as 1920x1080p, where
100% lossless quality is critical for diagnosis.
